TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- By submitting your request, you understand that Marva’s is providing a service and a platform to assist you in selling your used furniture and home decor. We do not guarantee a sale of any items but we offer the best options to get your items sold.
- Do not submit any items that you are selling on your own, elsewhere or will become unavailable. Any items that is approved and then removed by you will cancel your entire request and at our discretion. If you want to add more items for consignment, you must submit a new request.
“The value of Used Furniture is determined by the standards of the secondary market. It’s the value that we place on it for resale; otherwise, it’s only valuable to you”.
- You understand that we do not provide pricing until items reach our showroom and we are able to conduct a review, inspection and research. If you require pricing before proceeding with consignment, we can provide that for a fee or you may hire an appraisal service to do that work for you; we may not use those values however if you choose to use an outside service. Pricing is included only with a signed consignment agreement; however, there is a minimal research fee which is deducted from sales proceeds or end of contract. There is a minimal fee due for in-store setup and handling; we do not allow consignors to setup items in our showroom as to protect the valuable assets of our current consignors. This is a chore you must do with other companies.
- Pickup Fee: This fee will be provided after we review your request. This fee is only an estimate until we know exactly what is involved in your move. Please be specific and truthful with the location and access to the pieces in your home. For single family homes and townhomes, please describe access, parking, distance from home, long hallways and how many steps there are. For apartments or condos, check with your management company and make sure you understand the access for moving large items out of the building. Tell us what floor you are on, how many steps are involved, long hallways and distance from building for parking. Please research other moving companies so you understand the cost involved in moving furniture. Manpower, Resources, Packing Materials, Time, are all items that comes at a cost.
- If your request is approved and you want to proceed with consignment, you must get back to us within 48 hours so we can get you scheduled for pickup. Payment for pickup, setup & handling is due to get on the schedule. Once payment is received, a delivery team member will call you to schedule your appointment and to meet your deadline.
- If you do not want to pay for the furniture pickup service then you can bring the items in on your own using your own resources. You will need to make an appointment once the setup & handling fee is paid.
