Pickup fees are determined by the size of your pieces, the distance our Team Members must travel, the materials used in packaging your belongings, and the total time invested in safely and professionally relocating your pieces from your home or storage facility to our showroom. The Pickup fee is fixed and will not change regardless of weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. Fees range from $79 to several hundred dollars, or more, based on the size and complexity of your Estate.
Team Members typically arrive within a 30 to 60-minute window. A Senior Member will assess the pieces consigned, review the contract [with you] and prepare the items for transport. Pieces may be disassembled and all items are shrink wrapped, padded and secured within the transport vehicle.
It is imperative that you, the Consignor, allow our Team Members to do their jobs. Moving furniture, especially heavy and valuable pieces, requires concentration and planning. Please stay clear of the Movers during the relocation process. For your safety, and the safety of Marva’s Team Members, Consignors are NOT allowed in the general vicinity of our transport vehicles.
Pieces MUST be easily accessible and MUST be in the area you advised prior to our coming out. If pieces are not in the area specified, you may be charged additional fees and may need to have your appointment rescheduled.
